More On The T-Mobile Break-in

january 13, 2005

Wired is running an AP article with more details on the T-Mobile server break-ins. In the article T-Mobile states that only 400 customers' information were compromised by the break-in and that those customers have already been notified in writing by T-Mobile.

"Safeguarding T-Mobile customer information is a top priority for the company," said a spokesman, Peter Dobrow. He said T-Mobile discovered the break-in late in 2003 and "immediately took steps that prevented any further access to this system."
Now, T-Mobile and Danger could make me feel even more safe by making the Desktop Interface for the Sidekick a SSL encrypted connection instead of the open connection it is now.
