Welp, there goes $4 million dollars floating away into space and no one can find it. I was looking forward to seeing this Cosmos 1 project succeed since the premise of it is so intriguing: A spacecraft that has 8 mylar sails on it that would sail around Earth using only sunlight to push it around. After a few orbits it would have enough momentum to escape Earth's gravity and then be propelled into space. It is intriguing because other than the Russian missile fired from a Russian sub, there is no fuel onboard the Cosmos 1. It relies only on sunlight to push it around -- and theoretically, it would catch a lot of speed in a short while. It's too bad that it's lost in space.
