Eileen and I were in Milpitas today and stopped by the Great Mall of the Bay Area. It looks like they are doing some sprucing up of the mall. So far, so good.
The Great Mall is still not as posh as Westfield Valley Fair. For that to happen, The Mills Property (owner of the Great Mall) needs to get some bigger names in there. So far, they are listing some big names like OFF 5th Saks Fifth Avenue, St. John Knits Outlet, Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, bebe Outlet, Hollister Outlet, American Eagle Outfitters and The Sharper Image Outlet. But, I really think they need something like a Macy's or Nordstroms before they can compete -- and I am not sure they will get those.
In the picture, you can see Mayflower restaurant. That is a great place for dim sum. Yum!
