I feel like Goldilocks when it comes to Linux distributions...

I finally gave up and installed CentOS 4.3. It's not as flashy as FC5 and SUSE. It doesn't have all the latest and greatest software like any of the three above. And it is a bit slow when compared to FC5 and Ubuntu. I was running FC5 for the last two days -- but when I started to really use it today, it was crashing like mad. It crashed when VMware switched video modes. It crashed when I was listening to Bear McCreary's excellent score for Battlestar Galactica Season 2. It froze randomly twice. Yes, I know FC5 is like a hobbyists playground and crashes are to be expected. Still, I want to start using my notebook as a real box and not a test box for Linux distributions. Lets see how stable CentOS is going to be.
