december 21, 2007I hate bad English -- and bad English seems to be the flavor-of-the-day with people currently...
Somethings that annoy me to no end:
- "Honestly, I think..." As opposed to? Dishonestly?
- "Personally..." Huh? Do you sometimes talk impersonally?
- "You know what I mean?" No.
- "You see what I'm saying?" Not unless you have cue cards, no.
- "Have a good one" This one bugs me the most because I hear it so much. Have a good one of WHAT? "Have a good one day"? "Have a good one burger"? What? What?
There are other things that bug me. I can't remember them right now. Any examples of bad English that bug you?
