Silver Creek Valley Road Walk 2025 Edition
Back in 2020, I grabbed by Sony a7 II and walked partially up Silver Creek Valley Road – up to the Silver Creek Valley Country Club gateway and then turned back. This morning, I wanted to do the walk again, but go all the way up the hill and then come back – after the gateway, it gets really steep and I wanted to walk that too.
So, at 8:30AM, I grabbed my Sony a7RV with a Sony 24-50mm f/2.8 lens and headed out for a long walk up a steep hill.
Silver Creek Valley Road is something I will run from time to time, it’s a challenging run.
Here’s my walk in pictures.
Near the bottom and just getting started.
A man on a bike passed me.
A version of this picture is in the header of the South San Jose Running Club that I started on Strava. The picture in the header was taken some time in 2016 using a GoPro.
This is a little more than half-way up the hill. The mile marker is just past the gateway and there are some really steep bits after that.
The path down.
The walk was awesome. I walked for almost 90 minutes (with time to take pictures) and gained 573 ft in elevation. Total distance was 3.64 miles.
